Inside Sales Representative/ Foundry Estimator

Job description:

Primary function of the Foundry Estimator is to compile and generate quotations for the Foundry Division Sales Team. To be successful in this position, the candidate must be results oriented and have the demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize workflow in order to meet submission deadlines. In addition, this position requires excellent research skills to retrieve all information required for quotes.

The estimator is an integral part of the technical sales / customer service aspect of product sales at Wabi. This position will address all cost generation for customer’s product inquiries and will also be responsible for some cost analysis and cost control of the production environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Generate quotations for Foundry castings

· Maintain records of all cost sheets generated.

· Interact with customers to provide clarifications when needed for specific quotations.

· Maintain cost database for standard materials.

· Analyze and evaluate cost performance for all processed work.

· Establish sub-contract requirements for quotations and solicit competitive bids where needed.

· Maintain quotation database and files for received and issued quotations.

· Establish engineering, pattern shop, and manufacturing labour budgets for specific quotations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

This position requires the completion of a post-secondary education program. Five years’ experience in a related field. Require the ability to work under pressure and combine that with the drive, focus and determination to succeed.

This position requires a basic understanding of drawings.

LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have knowledge of a variety of advanced computer applications including most importantly Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Maintaining confidentiality is essential in dealing with sensitive corporate, employee and customer information.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, TRAINING

Knowledgeable in numerous Computer Softwares (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Website).
