FBMC Inc. is currently looking to develop our team by investing in dedicated, hardworking individuals. We are presently seeking a full-time Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE…

• Safe operation of the following types of equipment but not limited to; loader, excavator/backhoe, skid steer
• Operate various types of heavy equipment to lift, move or place materials
• Load and unload materials
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Perform routine pre-operation inspection and maintenance on equipment
• Fill out equipment log-books
• Clean, lubricate, refuel equipment
• Carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required to support the objectives of the company
• Work in an efficient, safe and profitable manner
• Positive attitude and leadership
• Site cleanliness
• Communication with crew foreman and/or site superintendent

THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU WILL NEED…

• Heavy equipment operator license is considered an asset
• Various safety tickets/certifications
• Ability to read locate sheets of possible underground and/or overhead utilities
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures including but not limited to backing up procedures, use of spotters, signage, incident reporting, required personnel protective equipment
• Knowledge of equipment operation, cleaning, and maintenance requirements
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Working efficiently in a team environment
• Good physical condition

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS…

• Minimum 2 years experience as an operator is considered an asset
• Valid “G” driver’s license
• “DZ” or “AZ” license is considered an asset
• WHIMIS
• Strong work ethic
• Transportation to and from work
