The Timmins Police Service is actively recruiting for police constables. This position offers the successful candidates an opportunity for a long and rewarding career in law enforcement while receiving training and performing a variety of functions within the organization.
Applicants must meet minimum requirements as outlined in the Police Services Act and provide proof of a valid Ontario Driver’s License, Standard First Aid and CPR certifications. A fitness test completed by the police agency will be a component of the selection process.
Greater consideration will be given to candidates with college/university education, who possess a concern for safety, computer/keyboarding skills with proficiency in Windows applications, a commitment to learning, and knowledge of the community we serve. Bilingualism is an asset. The selection process will reflect the dedication of the Timmins Police Service to the principles of Equal Opportunity.
Only applicants possessing a valid Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) Certificate or an OACP Certificate Equivalency will be considered.
Classification: Cadet Recruit in Training
Salary: $54,204 (2023)
