DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Overview

Guthro Financial Inc. is seeking a motivated, professional, and client-focused Insurance Advisor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping individuals, families, and business owners protect what matters most through personalized insurance solutions.

The successful candidate will gradually take over an established client portfolio while continuing to grow the business through referrals, networking, and exceptional client service. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and making a positive difference in people's lives.

Responsibilities

• Meet with new and existing clients to review their insurance needs.
• Analyze financial risks and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• Educate clients on life insurance, critical illness insurance, disability insurance, health and dental benefits, travel insurance, and group benefits.
• Conduct annual policy reviews and recommend updates when clients' needs change.
• Assist clients with policy applications and underwriting requirements.
• Maintain accurate client records using our CRM system.
• Follow up on leads and referrals in a timely and professional manner.
• Build long-term relationships through exceptional customer service.
• Represent Guthro Financial with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
• Work closely with our administrative team and insurance carrier partners.
• Stay current on industry products, regulations, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed Life Insurance Agent (Ontario LLQP Licence required or willingness to obtain before employment).
• Previous experience in life insurance, financial services, banking, or sales is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Professional appearance and presentation.
• Comfortable learning new technology and CRM systems.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Life Insurance
• Living Benefits
• Group Benefits
• Individual Health Insurance
• Investment or Financial Planning (asset)
• Business Insurance Planning (asset)
