EXTEL SERVICES INC. is a fast-growing telecommunications company with worksites in Ontario and Quebec. Our main office is in Timmins, Ontario with satellite office locations in Gatineau area (Val des Monts) and Lac St-Jean area (St Nazaire)

We are looking to add the following positions to our service team: 

Communication and CCTV Technicians: 

-install and repair local phone services, run and terminate data and voice cabling 

-install and repair CCTV, run and terminate cabling 

-repair problems in outside lines or inside customers’ residences 

-climb ladders and work with hand tools 

Fibre Optic Splicer/Tester:

-Install, splice and test fibre optics in both underground and aerial applications 

-Review, interpret and work with various maps, drawings and blueprints and testing documents 

-Experience as a Fibre Optic Splicer/Tester 

Telecommunications Journeyman/Lineman:  

-line installation, pole placement, repair and maintenance of outside plant infrastructure. 

-works on pole lines, underground duct banks and industrial sites 

Directional Drill Operator and Locator Technician: 

 -Load/Unload and Operate Directional Drill 

-Locate underground infrastructure 

-Coupling conduit and pulling several different types of cables 

Equipment Operators: 

-Operate front end loaders, dozers and other pieces of heavy equipment 

-Possess basic equipment maintenance and storage knowledge 

Labourers: 

To help Installers, Linemen and Shop Mechanic with various tasks such as: 

-line installation, pole placement, repair and maintenance of outside plant infrastructure 

-work on pole lines, underground duct banks, manholes and industrial sites 

-work in shop assisting with equipment repairs 

Administrative Assistant: 

-knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 

-general office duties, including filing, arranging travel arrangements and answering phones. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Valid Driver’s License required 

• DZ or AZ driver’s license is a strong asset 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Bilingual is a strong asset 

• Able to work at least 40 hours per week including days, evenings and some weekends 

• Able to work out of town 

• Work in all weather conditions 

• Must be punctual and act in a professional manner 

• Student positions are available
